Have a nice (May) Day aka klara vappen!

This time our blog post is about Vappu, which is also known as party of workpeople “työväen juhla” in Finnish. It is a public holiday and lot of people take part in carnival-style street festivities all around the country.

Despite the fact, that the weather outside during Vappu still pretty cold, young and old people, particularly students, party outside, have picnics, wear caps and other decorative clothing. Also balloons and serpentine are seen every where.

Very typical for Finnish Vappu is also making and drinking of special lemonade called “Sima”. It is made from lemons, brown sugar and yeast and no, it does not contain alcohol so even children can drink it.

As seen in the picture, Vappu celebrations got a head start at the rooftop of Grand Cru office, as Dj Polarsoul feat Eräkoira, Stepa & Are had their music video shooting during last Sunday (28th).

So as the day turns to an evening and festival mood is starting to get also into mind of the most concentrated game developer, Grand Cru wishes you all a nice May Day!
